28 Years Later - Thank You!
Earlier this summer Thenue announced the pending retiral of Beth Reilly, Head of Property Services, who had been with us for 28 years. Attending her very last meeting of the Board of Management, Beth was presented with an oil painting depicting a scene from Colonsay, a place where Beth and her family have spent many a happy summer holiday. Our “Calton Gardening Project” has resulted in a dramatic reclaiming of the local neighbourhood by residents. It has led to significant improvement in the physical appearance of the local area which has drawn much praise from local people.The project employs a community gardener to work directly on increasing the ability of residents to take responsibility for their environment. Meanwhile, tenants will now have received a copy of “Your Rent – Time to Have Your Say” - a special update inviting you to give your views on our rent proposals from April 2019.

Twenty year wait is over as Castlemilk says hello to its new £1 million hall
It was a long time in coming but when it finally opened its doors this month, the new Netherholm Hall was well worth the wait.The Netherholm community in Castlemilk is now celebrating its long-awaited showpiece hall a brand new £1 million hub designed to bring the community together.
Campaigners fought tirelessly for nearly 20 years to create the community facility refusing to give up and never allowing setbacks to knock them off course.
In 2016 it was revealed the campaigners had successfully won funding of almost £1 million from the Big Lottery Fund Scotland.

A Saintly Vision!
A STUNNING mural depicting the mother of Glasgow’s patron saint and whom Thenue Housing is named after has been revealed.This week we welcomed the unveiling of the mural not far from the city centre which shows St Thenue cradling and nursing her infant son.

We have unveiled a multi-million housing boost for Bridgeton this week. it marked a welcome return to the east end for Local Government and Housing Minister Kevin Stewart MSP who got the building work under way just over a year ago.Around half the families have now moved into the impressive £6.43 million development as we continue our drive to create much-needed new homes. More will receive their keys in the next few weeks. Read more
