Thenue Housing is celebrating after getting a pat on the back from Investors in People.

The Association has retained the coveted Investors in People Scotland seal of approval - widely regarded as the gold standard in terms of staff development - after undergoing its latest assessment.

The news means that Thenue continues to meet the organisation’s rigorous requirements and can carry on calling itself an Investors in People organisation. It first won the accreditation in 2006 and retained it in 2009 and now for the third time.

Thenue has 64 staff and is run by a management committee made up of 14 unpaid individuals who give their time voluntarily in keeping with the long-established principles of community-based housing associations.

The Association says it is delighted and that it continues to place great emphasis on a long-standing commitment to ensuring staff are operating at the peak of their professionalism and that they feel valued members of the team.

Charlie Turner, Chief Executive, said: “This award recognises the hard work of the Association’s staff and they are to be congratulated on retaining Investors In People status once more.

“It also send an important message to our tenants and others who deal with us that they are engaged with a housing association which places high importance on staff development and that in turn improves the service we offer.”
