The Handyperson Service continues to operate during this time carrying out only urgent and essential jobs. Jobs such as:

changing light bulbs
moving furniture for safe movement around the home / installation of hospital equipment
fitting smoke alarms/batteries
fitting CO2 detectors/batteries
grab/hand rails
supply and fit of keysafes
lowering or renewing thresholds
putting up curtains with no current covering on for example ground floor rooms

These are examples of what can currently be undertaken but the list is not exhaustive. If in doubt, please do contact the Service on 0141 433 2749 or
careandrepair@southside-ha.co.uk and they will advise you further.

With jobs which require access inside your home, the Handyperson who has PPE equipment, will ask you to please wait in another room from the room requiring the work.
Where possible, payment for any materials required to be purchased can be made over the phone at the time of booking via World Pay or left in the room requiring work.
