Thenue Housing has held a highly successful Community Conference which drew an enthusiastic response from tenants.
Held in the newly-opened Calton Heritage and Learning Centre, its theme was “Listening to You” in keeping with Thenue’s strong commitment to tenant involvement.
The Association sought input from tenants on its Tenant Involvement Strategy and the Tenants’ Charter Report . Thenue later described the input as “invaluable.”
The Conference heard from Chief Executive Charlie Turner who spoke of the “shared priorities” the 34 year old organisation had with tenants and that it was always seeking to put tenants first.
This was backed up by high levels of customer satisfaction carried out by an independent survey which, in the most recent snapshot of opinion, found that over 90 per cent of tenants were satisfied with Thenue.
The Conference also heard from Brian Gannon, Head of Housing at Thenue and Ilene Campbell, Director of the Tenants Information Service (pictured addressing conference audience).
Charlie said: “The Conference allowed us to obtain the views of our tenants who attended which informs our Tenant Involvement Strategy. Additionally, the preparation of the Tenants’ Charter Report will now have real and effective input from tenants as we continue to reflect their views and aspirations.”
