Smoke Detection - Changes in Legislation

As previously reported, changes in legislation relating to smoke detection in occupied properties came into force in February 2022. Where a tenant continually refuses to allow access for essential smoke detection or electrical testing works we may have to force access to the property to complete the works. It is essential that you respond to any communication from us requesting access to carry out work within your property.
